Most platforms survive by taking a cut every time money moves.
Bounty HTR is designed to do things… better—with bounties!
Bounties are funded upfront, held while the work is open, and either paid to the creator who completes the request or returned as reusable bounty value if the request goes unfulfilled. But before either of those destinations are reached, those funds will be working for the sponsor AND the website. While the bounty reward incentivizes creatives, that posted value also does double time, building a flow that can help support the platform.
The money waiting to become work helps keep the system running.
When enough bounties are active, that waiting value can help support Bounty HTR through approved reserves and financial tools, reducing the need to rely on heavy platform fees. In plain terms: the money waiting to become work helps keep the system running, so less money has to be taken from the people funding or completing the work.
The catch is that scale. This only works once there are enough sponsors posting bounties, enough creators answering them, and enough completed work moving through the platform.
That is why launch support matters. The first wave helps Bounty HTR reach the activity level where the model allows us to do something the other platforms can't hope to match:
Our fees will be as close to zero as the website’s volume permits.
The goal Our fees will be as close to zero as the website’s volume permits.
